Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. (PWLS) is a non-profit organization that provides youth football and cheer & dance programs for participants in 41 states and several countries around the world. Consisting of approximately 360,000 young people ranging from ages 5 to 16 years old, PWLS is the largest youth football, cheer and dance program in the United States.

Since 1929, the Pop Warner program's philosophy has been that athletics and scholastics go hand in hand. At every level, Pop Warner programs seek to develop well-rounded young men and women who learn not only the fundamentals of football, cheerleading, and dance but also the importance of education in an atmosphere conducive to developing sound character while having a good time.







Founded in 1970, serving 7,000 young participants, and 3,000 adult volunteers in 18 Associations, with 37 years of experience, Palomar Pop Warner is the oldest youth football and cheerleading organization in San Diego. Based in San Diego's North County, associations include: Carlsbad, Escondido, Fallbrook, La Costa Canyon, Menifee, Murrieta, Oceanside, Poway, Ramona, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos, San Marcos, Scrips Ranch, Temecula, Torrey Pines, Valley Center, Vista and Wildomar. For the 2009 season, we had a record 230 teams!!

Challenger football is designed for children with disabilities to enjoy sports and cheer just like everyone else. Participants play with a "buddy" who assists them with the ball and navigating the field. Designed for boys and girls between the ages of 5-15 years old and a range of disabilities, everyone gets a chance to play.
